Simple Teacher Gifts + a FREE Printable!

This year I wanted to keep it really simple when it came to Teacher Gifts. Life was hectic & there were 4 teachers to buy for. I gave my kids a few ideas to choose from and they ultimately decided which idea we would go with. So here's what we gave...

For my daughter's teachers in kindergarten, she gave them these gigantic bags of popcorn {from Costco} that we knes that they liked...

I printed off these cute labels I found on Pinterest from The Crafting Chicks and I just had my daughter sign her name and we added them on with cute washi tape. Simple as can be!

{My daughter also gave her teacher the sweetest card and wrote a nice message & drew a picture inside. Teachers love a nice note or card!}

In my son's classroom this year, his teacher had the classroom decorated in a camping theme, so my son liked the S'mores idea & we also did that for his Karate teacher. I was going to make up a cute package of the s'mores stuff, but they sell s'mores kits at the grocery store, so I went with the simple route! I made labels and added them on with washi tape...

You can print off your own label and personalize it with a message for the teacher and/or have your child sign their name. It's sized for 2 labels to print on a 4x6 photo. But you can print it at home on your printer if you prefer.

Sometimes simple is best!

Valentine's Day is Almost Here!

With less than a week to go until Valentine's Day, I thought I would share a post about how we have been getting ready to celebrate in our home!

Last week I made cookies for my kids and took it one step further and set out some treats to celebrate a 4-day weekend from school with some Valentine's goodies...

For the past few years, we have used these cute little mailboxes I found at Target to exchange Valentines as a family. It's become a fun little tradition to open them up on February 14th!

I incorporated some Valentine's decorations onto our fireplace mantle in our family room...

On my kitchen island...

On my kitchen counter...

This is on an end table in our living room...

Valentine's Day cushions from Target a few years ago...

This button heart frame is something I made a few years ago and I still love it! It's on my fireplace mantle...

My daughter helped me put together these little goodie bags to hand out to her Kindergarten class along with her Valentines...

My son in grade 3 will be giving these goodie bags out to his class along with his Valentines...

My kids will also be giving a little thing of Lindor chocolates to their teachers. For my daughter in kindergarten, I added on a picture of her with both of her teachers onto the bagS (I covered the faceS with the hearts for privacy reasons)...

Have a Happy Love Day, everyone!

"Basket of Sunshine" End of the Year Teacher Gift + 12 Free Printables!

School is in its final weeks here and this year I decided to give my son's teacher a "Basket of Sunshine" full of cheery yellow things. Yellow = Sunshine = SUMMER!

I made up a tag on the computer, mounted it on some patterned scrapbook paper, and attached it to the basket using double-sided tape.

I had fun brainstorming and hunting for yellow things to add to her gift. And of course I got a bit carried away. It would have been so much quicker and cheaper to pick up a gift card, but I think this is more fun. I hope she likes it!

I made up some extra tags that you can print off either with your regular printer paper or as a photo to mount on cardstock to add to the gift you give your child's teacher. Each tag is a 4x6 size.

Underneath each design, just click on the link to download the file without my blog's title on it. It's super easy and FREE! Enjoy!
