Simple Teacher Gifts + a FREE Printable!

This year I wanted to keep it really simple when it came to Teacher Gifts. Life was hectic & there were 4 teachers to buy for. I gave my kids a few ideas to choose from and they ultimately decided which idea we would go with. So here's what we gave...

For my daughter's teachers in kindergarten, she gave them these gigantic bags of popcorn {from Costco} that we knes that they liked...

I printed off these cute labels I found on Pinterest from The Crafting Chicks and I just had my daughter sign her name and we added them on with cute washi tape. Simple as can be!

{My daughter also gave her teacher the sweetest card and wrote a nice message & drew a picture inside. Teachers love a nice note or card!}

In my son's classroom this year, his teacher had the classroom decorated in a camping theme, so my son liked the S'mores idea & we also did that for his Karate teacher. I was going to make up a cute package of the s'mores stuff, but they sell s'mores kits at the grocery store, so I went with the simple route! I made labels and added them on with washi tape...

You can print off your own label and personalize it with a message for the teacher and/or have your child sign their name. It's sized for 2 labels to print on a 4x6 photo. But you can print it at home on your printer if you prefer.

Sometimes simple is best!

'I hope your summer is "chalk" full of fun!' -Classmate/Classroom Year- End Gifts

The school year is ending this month and the countdown to summer holidays is on!

My son, age 7, helped me make up some little end-of-the-year gifts to hand out to his classmates on the last day of shool:

I picked these up at the dollar store (Dollarama for my fellow Canadians) for $3 each. I actually only needed 1 box as there are 20 kids in my son's class and each box has 40 pieces of chalk.

All we did was add 2 pieces of chalk into snack-size Ziplock bags and fold the labels over the bags and staple them. Super easy!

I didn't have colour ink in my printer at home, so I made some labels with the suns in black & white, then we coloured in the suns using pencil crayons!

I am sharing the version with the suns in colour, as well as the black & white version.

Each 8.5 x 11 printable I am sharing has 2 labels on it. You can have your child sign their name on the labels and cut them to fit over snack-size or regular Ziplock bags.

Coming soon.... what we're doing for a year-end teacher gift this year!

ChristmasTeacher Gift Idea

Today I'm going to share what I made for my son to give his teachers last year for Christmas when he was in grade 1......

I filled jars with treats (pretzel hugs) and gave them along with a gift card to Tim Hortons...

Pretzel hugs are pretzels, that have chocolate melted on them and m&m candies on the top. When they have set and the chocolate is hard again, they are ready to enjoy. They are pretty yummy!

And just because, I have to share how cute the Tim Hortons gift cards were last year...

I wrapped the jars up in clear Christmas gift bags, added a candy cane and the gift card, and tied it all up with some curled ribbon!

I had my son sign his name on the gift tags (I used some cards from my stash of Project Life supplies)...

And if you want another idea, click on the photo below to go to the post of what I made for my son to give his teachers the year before, when he was in Kindergarten!

Movie Theatre Snacks Gift Idea

I recently gave this to a friend for her birthday- A Movie Theatre Snacks Gift Basket...

I bought the popcorn container and filled it with some movie snacks and treats that she likes...

I added some black & white polka dot washi tape onto some of the items, cause everything is cuter with washi tape! I added some cute straws that coordinated and tied then up with some baker's twine before putting them inside.

I tied some burlap around the container and added a little card onto it:

A cute & easy gift idea that is perfect to give to a friend, a teacher, a neighbor, or a family member!

Stay tuned for a birthday party post & a bridal shower post over the next couple days!

An End-of-the-Year Gift Idea for Teachers & Classmates + Free Printable

So I know school just started again, but I never posted about what my son gave his teachers at the end of the school year! Better late than never though!

Since we were at a new school for his Grade 1 year, I totally recycled the gift idea we used the year before when he was in Kindergarten!

I made up bags of fun orange things and put them in cute orange gift bags with tags that said "Orange you glad it's summer?". He had a teacher and a teacher's assistant in his class, so I needed to make up 2 of these bags.

Each bag contained:
-file folders
-notepad
-notebook
-candle holder
-acrylic drinking cup
-orange container
-package of orange flavoured Kit Kats
- a pack of Fuzzy Peaches
-orange Tic Tacs
-an orange Hawaiian lei necklace

(And I added a small bottle of Diet Coke in the bag for his teacher who loves Diet Coke. I also gave her a 2L Diet Coke decorated with Washi Tape and a card thanking her for teaching my son.)

My son wrote on the tags that we tied to the bags with some cute creamsicle ribbon.

All ready to go!

I attached the tags with these cute paper clips I found at Michael's...

I made the printable tags and then glued a coordinating card on the back from my stash of Project Life supplies...

I made up a printable of the tags. I sized them so that 2 fit on a 4x6 sized print. Then you have 2- 2x3 prints.
You can download the file here.

You can also check out what I did for my son's Kindergarten teachers by clicking on the photo below:

I also made up these simple year-end gifts for my son to hand out to all the kids in his class:

My preschooler daughter also handed out a couple to some of her little friends that are younger siblings of kids in my son's class...

I bought the packs of cute bags from Target last year and each kids got a big box of Smarties and a thing of bubbles!

Then I made simple tags on my computer that said "Have a happy summer, Smartie!" and stapled them to the tops of the bags.

You can click on the photo below to see the post from last year:

Happy Monday, everyone!
