kid's craft idea- fall leaves canvas

Here's a fall craft that my son (who is almost 4) & I made together....

I bought the canvas from the dollar store for 2 bucks, used Mod Podge & a foam brush I had on hand, and used some leaves that we collected together outside.

He & I placed the leaves in the vicinity of where we wanted them to be at the end, then I glued them on with Mod Podge & let me son try to help a bit with that.

We added some scrapbook letters to spell "FALL" in the blank spot we left. Then I added a couple coats of Mod Podge to seal the leaves.

He loves crafting with me when we have our learning time each day. And I love seeing him explore his creative side and spending time together.

my simple fall decorations

I enjoy fall, but I don't go all out with decorating as others do. My major obstacle is having little kids. My 18-month old little girl is a climber and likes to get into anything she can! So that really limits the surfaces I have to add holiday decor to.

In our living room I have this display on the tall-ish dvd shelf...

In our home Halloween equals pumpkins plus treats! I don't really get into the whole scary side as much.

I filled a jar with candy corn & a vase with mini chocolate bars. My husband likes the chocolate & I prefer candy.

I used this Halloween Subway Art printable and added it to this ornate black frame...

I love this shelf of Halloween goodness...

This pumpkin teapot was something I bought years ago & I have still never used it. But it's sure cute...

On our table I have this little tray of gourds and mini pumpkins...

I also have some mini pumpkins on this shelf above the computer...

I had every intention of making a fall wreath this year, but I snagged this one from the dollar store for $2. I may still make one...we'll see.

My kids love these gel window clings we put on the screen doors and windows...

And they love these plush pumpkins, too!

These wood pumpkins I made last year are on this shelf by our front door. (BTW, the temple carving was a gift my hubby's grandpa gave us for Christmas the year we were married.)

Here are the links to the other fall & Halloween projects I have made:
