  3. LOVELY CAKE!!!!! So neat! My husband and I were in BC last summer for the couple days leading up to Canada Day! It was so neat to see Vendors along the streets of Vancouver it was just covered in red and white! It was Absolutely gorgeous! On our cruise we got to celebrate Canada Day the day after we got on the ship and then we got to celebrate America's Independence Day a few days after when we were in Glacier Bay, AK! It was so neat! :)

  4. Love the cake! I remember my Mom making one of those when I was younger. We always watch fireworks for Canada Day because I consider that to be the real fireworks holiday :) Last year the school where I was teaching hosted a Canadian Citizenship ceremony and it was really neat to see all the kids getting involved with different aspects of the decorations etc. My Kindergartens all made their own flags and proudly paraded them around the classroom.

I definitely need to make some sort of banner this year. Thanks for sharing some fun 'pinspiration' photos!

Visiting from TT & J (and I had to laugh when I saw your cake linked up right beside an American Flag cupcake!)

  5. I love that cake too! I have made it before and remember when it was on the cover of Canadian Living magazine many years ago! I think we are getting much better at celebrating and recognizing Canada Day. Where I live, the city hosts fireworks, so it's kind of nice! Have a lovely weekend! Angie xo
