Simple Teacher Gifts + a FREE Printable!

This year I wanted to keep it really simple when it came to Teacher Gifts. Life was hectic & there were 4 teachers to buy for. I gave my kids a few ideas to choose from and they ultimately decided which idea we would go with. So here's what we gave...

For my daughter's teachers in kindergarten, she gave them these gigantic bags of popcorn {from Costco} that we knes that they liked...

I printed off these cute labels I found on Pinterest from The Crafting Chicks and I just had my daughter sign her name and we added them on with cute washi tape. Simple as can be!

{My daughter also gave her teacher the sweetest card and wrote a nice message & drew a picture inside. Teachers love a nice note or card!}

In my son's classroom this year, his teacher had the classroom decorated in a camping theme, so my son liked the S'mores idea & we also did that for his Karate teacher. I was going to make up a cute package of the s'mores stuff, but they sell s'mores kits at the grocery store, so I went with the simple route! I made labels and added them on with washi tape...

You can print off your own label and personalize it with a message for the teacher and/or have your child sign their name. It's sized for 2 labels to print on a 4x6 photo. But you can print it at home on your printer if you prefer.

Sometimes simple is best!

Valentine's Day is Almost Here!

With less than a week to go until Valentine's Day, I thought I would share a post about how we have been getting ready to celebrate in our home!

Last week I made cookies for my kids and took it one step further and set out some treats to celebrate a 4-day weekend from school with some Valentine's goodies...

For the past few years, we have used these cute little mailboxes I found at Target to exchange Valentines as a family. It's become a fun little tradition to open them up on February 14th!

I incorporated some Valentine's decorations onto our fireplace mantle in our family room...

On my kitchen island...

On my kitchen counter...

This is on an end table in our living room...

Valentine's Day cushions from Target a few years ago...

This button heart frame is something I made a few years ago and I still love it! It's on my fireplace mantle...

My daughter helped me put together these little goodie bags to hand out to her Kindergarten class along with her Valentines...

My son in grade 3 will be giving these goodie bags out to his class along with his Valentines...

My kids will also be giving a little thing of Lindor chocolates to their teachers. For my daughter in kindergarten, I added on a picture of her with both of her teachers onto the bagS (I covered the faceS with the hearts for privacy reasons)...

Have a Happy Love Day, everyone!

'I hope your summer is "chalk" full of fun!' -Classmate/Classroom Year- End Gifts

The school year is ending this month and the countdown to summer holidays is on!

My son, age 7, helped me make up some little end-of-the-year gifts to hand out to his classmates on the last day of shool:

I picked these up at the dollar store (Dollarama for my fellow Canadians) for $3 each. I actually only needed 1 box as there are 20 kids in my son's class and each box has 40 pieces of chalk.

All we did was add 2 pieces of chalk into snack-size Ziplock bags and fold the labels over the bags and staple them. Super easy!

I didn't have colour ink in my printer at home, so I made some labels with the suns in black & white, then we coloured in the suns using pencil crayons!

I am sharing the version with the suns in colour, as well as the black & white version.

Each 8.5 x 11 printable I am sharing has 2 labels on it. You can have your child sign their name on the labels and cut them to fit over snack-size or regular Ziplock bags.

Coming soon.... what we're doing for a year-end teacher gift this year!

Simple Halloween Favors for Classmates

Today I want to quickly share some little goodie bags I made this year and last for my son to hand out at school!

LAST YEAR:
In Grade 1, I bought a couple things of Angry Birds treats, some rockets, and some Monster's University candy sticks.
The bags came from Dollarama (here in Canada) and I made labels on my computer and printed them off on orange cardstock.

Each pumpkin-shaped jack-o-lantern bag had 4 treats in it...

My son loved them and he was excited to hand them out on Halloween during the class party!

THIS YEAR:
For Grade 2 this year, I bought a bunch of vampire teeth, pencils, erasers from the Dollar Spot area in Target. And I also picked up a bag of Ring Pop gummies from the grocery store...

My kiddos enjoyed helping me place the items on each bag...

Once everything was set out, we were able to fill the bags with the goodies...

I even printed off the same tags I had made from last year, cause why not?!!

These have been ready and waiting for a few weeks. He is excited to hand them out at his class party on Halloween.

So easy, so simple!
